FAQs
How is Glamask different to other face masks?
Glamask products made in Australia from natural ingredients, are 100% vegan and cruelty-free (we do not test on animals).
Our products are free from parabens and sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). We do not use any artificial preservatives, synthetic ingredients or hidden toxins. All of the scents in our products are derived entirely from the natural aromas of essential oils and our exquisite ingredients.
Is Glamask packaging sustainable?
Yes! Please play your part and recycle our packaging.
Why does my clay mask come in powder form?
We're taking you right back to the origins of clay masks where there were no preservatives or dodgy additives. If you've previously used a clay mask that looked whipped and creamy, that's because it was heavily preserved with ingredients that are most likely toxic for your skin.
Having our masks in their natural, powdered form allows you to easily activate a small amount of mask as you need it. No more half dried-up or crusty tubs. It's like having a brand new mask every time.
How do I activate the clay mask?
To activate our clay mask, simply pour a portion of powder into the palm of your hand or a small mixing bowl and add a small amount of water. Gently mix until the powder forms a paste and voilà! It's ready to use!
Do I have to activate my clay mask with water?
The beauty of powder clay masks is that you can get creative. If you feel like your skin is super dry and in need of some extra TLC, try mixing the powder with honey, jojoba oil or aloe vera.
Otherwise, we recommend using water that will leave your skin feeling silky and smooth (Pink Clay Mask) or fresh and exfoliated (Enzyme Exfoliating Mask).
What is the benefit of activating my clay mask myself?
The obvious benefit is that we don't need to add preserving agents to our products. However, if you have used clay masks before, you'll know how frustrating it is to open the jar and find it has turned all dry and crusty. With a Glamask clay mask, you'll never have any waste.
Do I need to moisturise after I remove a clay mask or gel mask?
Most definitely! The Hydrating Moisturiser is designed to accelerate and lock in all the goodness from our clay and gel masks. It is best used after the Enzyme Exfoliating Mask for a silky smooth finish but is equally as effective after using our Pink Clay Mask and Hydrating Gel Mask.
How often should I use Glamask products?
All of our products are entirely natural, so feel free to use them daily. Your skin will benefit most from using the Hydrating Moisturiser twice daily. The masks can also be used 2-3 times per week for the best results. If you keep this regime up for a couple of weeks, we guarantee that you will see a glowing difference in your skin's health and vibrancy.
How long do the clay masks last?
All Glamask products last for up to 18 months, except for our Enzyme Exfoliating Mask, which lasts up to 12 months. Keeping our clay masks in powder form, without activation until mixed with water or your chosen activator, ensures the product looks and feels brand new every time you use it.
I have problematic and sensitive skin. Are Glamask products suitable for me?
If you have severe skin issues, we recommend first seeing a medical practitioner to make sure you don't have any underlying medical conditions. However, if your problems are more cosmetic, your skin may be just overwhelmed and irritated by the synthetic additives and other toxins commonly found in skincare products.
Our all-natural, gentle products could be the holiday your skin needs. We are confident that in most cases, there'll be a notable change in the appearance of your skin.
